Our Founders & Team
Vakumar® was founded by John Smith and Jane Johnson – food enthusiasts, home cooks, and storage pros. As busy parents, they were tired of food going bad and wasted money from constant grocery trips. After years of mediocre vacuum sealers that underperformed, they knew there had to be a better way.
In 2022 they assembled a small team of engineers and designers to create the vacuum sealer they’d been waiting for. One that sealed perfectly every time, eliminated food waste, and actually enjoyed using. After months of development, the first Vakumar products were born.
Today, our close-knit team operates out of our headquarters in Nashville, TN. We’re a diverse group with backgrounds in engineering, manufacturing, customer service, and of course a shared love of food. Every team member contributes unique skills and insights to improving the Vakumar experience from start to finish.
John and Jane are still heavily involved in daily operations. You’ll find them testing new product concepts, poring over customer feedback, and ensuring every detail meets their high standards.
